The Role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You'll help lead the team, maintain exceptional service standards and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, you'll confidently take responsibility for the operation, ensuring service runs seamlessly and standards remain consistently high.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the successful day-to-day running of the restaurant.
- Lead by example, creating a positive and motivating environment for the team.
- Assist with staff training, coaching and development to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Help maintain exceptional guest satisfaction through personalised and attentive service.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests, recognising preferences and exceeding expectations.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of all restaurant areas.
- Review and improve service standards in line with luxury hospitality expectations and Forbes standards.
- Support performance reviews and identify development opportunities within the team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective planning and seamless guest experiences.
- Assist with rota planning to match business demands and operational requirements.
About You

- Previous supervisory or management experience within a quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the floor.
- Commercial awareness and operational understanding.
- Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail.
- Experience within a luxury or five-star hotel environment.
- Good wine knowledge.
- Experience managing training and development programmes.
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards.
