Event Operations Manager

Event Operations Manager

£40,000 – £50,000 per annum DOE

London

5/7 days per week - 40 hours per week

Ready to lead from the front? This is a senior, hands‑on role for an experienced Event Operations Manager who combines commercial confidence with a genuine love for delivering exceptional events.

You’ll take full ownership of a varied portfolio of bespoke, high‑value events — leading sizeable freelance teams, building trusted client relationships, and ensuring every detail lands exactly as it should. Balancing creativity with commercial discipline, you’ll manage strong margins without ever compromising on quality or experience.

This role suits someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys bringing ambitious ideas to life, and is confident working closely with senior leadership to drive standards forward.

The Role

As Event Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the seamless end‑to‑end delivery of catered events, from early planning through to on‑site execution.

You’ll act as a senior operational and client-facing lead, ensuring events are commercially sound, impeccably delivered and genuinely memorable.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full operational delivery of bespoke catered events

Recruit, schedule and manage large freelance event teams

Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building long‑term, trusted relationships

Take full ownership of event P&Ls, with strong cost control and margin management

Collaborate closely with chefs, sales teams and venue partners

Maintain consistently high standards of service, presentation and attention to detail

Ensure compliance across health & safety, food safety and licensing requirements

About You

You’ll bring both confidence and authenticity to your work, with the experience to back it up.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior operations or catering management role within events, hospitality or venues

A natural leader who gets the best from teams — while keeping the energy positive

Strong commercial awareness, with hands‑on experience managing budgets and P&Ls

Polished and professional in client‑facing environments

Exceptionally organised, with sharp attention to detail

Calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously

Flexible to work evenings and weekends as the role requires

And most importantly — you bring your authentic self. Personality, individuality and passion are genuinely valued here!
