Luxury Hotel Estate | Near Frimley
Salary: £28,500 plus approximately £5,000 in tronc

Off to Work is currently recruiting for an experienced Gardener to join the grounds team of one of the country's most prestigious hotel estates near Frimley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for horticulture to work within beautifully maintained gardens and grounds, helping to create an exceptional environment for guests and visitors. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the estate to the highest standards, ensuring every outdoor space is presented beautifully throughout the year.

About the Role
As a Gardener, you will be responsible for the hands-on maintenance and presentation of the hotel's extensive gardens and grounds. You'll work as part of a dedicated team, helping to ensure the estate remains a standout feature of the guest experience.
The gardens include:
  • Terrace gardens, Rose garden, Croquet lawn ,Woodland, Lake and surrounding grounds, Formal lawns & Wildflower meadows.
You'll also support the upkeep of the polo centre and staff accommodation grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out seasonal maintenance across all garden areas
  • Grass cutting, lawn care and turf maintenance
  • Hedge trimming and pruning
  • Planting and general horticultural duties
  • Operate a range of garden machinery including:
    • Mowers
    • Strimmers
    • Leaf blowers
    • Hedge trimmers
    • Other grounds maintenance equipment
  • Take ownership of designated areas of the estate
  • Maintain exceptional standards of garden presentation throughout the year
  • Work safely and in line with all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and takes pride in their work. You should be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and have a strong understanding of horticultural practices.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a professional gardening or grounds maintenance role
  • Good knowledge of seasonal garden maintenance
  • Experience with hedge cutting and turf care
  • Strong plant identification knowledge
    • Good understanding of the cultivation and care of: Trees, Shrubs, Bulbs, Herbaceous plants, Annual plants, Vegetables and herbs
  • Competent in the safe use of garden machinery
  • Friendly and approachable manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Qualifications
  • National Certificate in Horticulture (NCH)
  • National Diploma in Horticulture (ND)
  • NPTC PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates
  • Experience working within public gardens, estates or visitor attractions
