Hotel Reception Supervisor
  • Basingstoke | Up to £29,000 per year
  • 40 hours per week | 5 days in 7
  • Mixture of early and late shifts
  • Due to location must have access to a car
  • 2 years Hotel experience needed
Off to Work are looking for an experienced and confident Hotel Reception Supervisor to join a friendly front office team at a well‑established 4‑star hotel in Basingstoke. If you enjoy leading by example, delivering great guest service and being part of a positive, supportive workplace, this could be a great next step in your hospitality career.
This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You will be number 2 to the Reception Manager, oversee daily reception operations and help create a welcoming, professional experience for every guest from arrival to departure. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, support your team and handle guest needs calmly and confidently.

The Role
  • Lead and support the reception team to deliver outstanding guest service
  • Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling enquiries, requests and complaints
  • Assist with reception and reservations shifts, including reports, audits and shift close
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments
  • Ensure front office procedures, brand standards and safety policies are followed
  • Support training, scheduling and performance monitoring of reception staff
About You
  • At least 2 years’ reception experience in a 4‑star hotel
  • Natural leader with a warm, professional manner
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisation and problem‑solving skills
  • Flexible and happy to support the wider hotel when needed
  • Experience using Opera, Guestline or Rezlynx is a plus
  • Access to a car required due to the out‑of‑town location
