Hotel Reception Supervisor
This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You will be number 2 to the Reception Manager, oversee daily reception operations and help create a welcoming, professional experience for every guest from arrival to departure. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, support your team and handle guest needs calmly and confidently.
The Role
- Basingstoke | Up to £29,000 per year
- 40 hours per week | 5 days in 7
- Mixture of early and late shifts
- Due to location must have access to a car
- 2 years Hotel experience needed

The Role
- Lead and support the reception team to deliver outstanding guest service
- Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling enquiries, requests and complaints
- Assist with reception and reservations shifts, including reports, audits and shift close
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments
- Ensure front office procedures, brand standards and safety policies are followed
- Support training, scheduling and performance monitoring of reception staff
- At least 2 years’ reception experience in a 4‑star hotel
- Natural leader with a warm, professional manner
- Calm under pressure with strong organisation and problem‑solving skills
- Flexible and happy to support the wider hotel when needed
- Experience using Opera, Guestline or Rezlynx is a plus
- Access to a car required due to the out‑of‑town location
- 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
- AM and PM shifts on a rota, including weekends
