Bar Manager | Traditional Pub
Central Edinburgh
Up to £15 p/h | 40 hours per week
Are you an experienced Bar Manager with a great knowledge of local Scottish ales and effective cellar management? Know your single malts and pride yourself on delivering welcoming and friendly service? Can lead a small team and instill service standards to maximise profitability and drive revenue? We are recruiting an experienced publican to manage the bar operations in a well established, busy pub venue in central Edinburgh. It is a wet lead operation with a small but simple food offering. Popular with locals and tourists alike, a destination to experience traditional Scottish pub fare with friendly and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Train and supervise bartenders and other bar staff.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a bar management or assistant manager role is required.
- Knowledge of cellar management & stock control.
- Proactive with a eye for detail.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
