Catering & Events Manager

Mainly Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
£38,000 per annum DOE
We’re looking for an experienced Catering & Events Manager to lead the daily operations of our café bar within a premium serviced office building. Serving a stable corporate client base, the venue offers high‑quality coffee, a breakfast and lunch service, a licensed bar, and regular private hire events.
The Catering & Events Manager is a hands‑on role where you’ll be the face of the operation —driving service standards, leading a small team, and ensuring smooth, professional operations.

Key Responsibilities for Catering & Events Manager
- Oversee daily café bar operations, including opening/closing and front‑of‑house shifts
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance
- Manage stock, suppliers, budgets, and monthly reporting
- Lead and support the team, fostering a positive workplace
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
- Coordinate private hire events from planning to execution
- Identify opportunities to grow sales and increase footfall
- Proven management experience in a café, bar, or hospitality venue
- Strong barista and/or bartending skills (advantageous)
- Confident leading teams and working under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience organising and delivering events
- Flexible with early mornings or late evenings when required
- Full‑time, permanent role (40 hours, Monday–Friday, occasional weekends)
- Stable corporate client base
