We are working with a growing event catering company based in East Lothian, delivering high-quality food for weddings, private events, corporate functions and outdoor catering. They are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Event / Prep Chef to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on position supporting both kitchen prep and live event service. You’ll be involved in preparing food ahead of events and working on-site as part of a small, fast-moving team. Experience and interest in cooking seasonal, simple food from scratch but using the best ingredients

Key Responsibilities
- Food preparation in line with menus and specifications
- Supporting service at events (plating, service, finishing dishes)
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown where required
- Working efficiently under pressure during busy services
- Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred
- Passion for fresh, well-presented food
- Able to work flexible hours,
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliable transport preferred due to event locations
