What You'll Do:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing healthy, well-balanced meals
- Step in for the Head Chef during their absence
- Build strong relationships with residents, promoting a warm and inclusive atmosphere
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations
- Maintain high food standards and presentation at all times
- A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for cooking
- Someone who enjoys engaging with older adults and being part of a community
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly and independently when required
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
- NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a care or hospitality setting
