Staffing/Operations Manager - Edinburgh
Staffing and Talent Solution Agency
5 days per week (40-hour week), Mon-Sun rota-based shifts
£32,000 PA dependent on experience
We are now looking for a Staffing/Operations Manager to join our expanding and bustling Edinburgh Team.
Working within our team, the Staffing/Operations Manager’s key functions in this position are to nurture and develop client relationships, ensuring clients’ expectations are always exceeded with teams perfectly tailored to their needs. Furthermore, you will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow your client portfolio and revenue, whilst maintaining a real focus on quality delivery. Our Staffing/Operations Managers are often found out on-site with our clients making sure what we are delivering is on point. From checking in teams and carrying out uniform and grooming checks to even working a shift where a senior presence is needed.
Our operations team is at the core of our casual placement hub. As a Staffing/Operations Manager, you'll need to be a confident communicator with and logical mind and a multitasker extraordinaire. Flexibility, dynamic nature, and practical understanding of our client’s needs are key.

Some of the aspects you will be responsible for as Staffing/Operations Managers in Edinburgh will include:
- Maintaining, nurturing and developing client relationships within your portfolio of client accounts across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
- Proactive and regular recorded client relations management.
- Strategic planning to securing new business though proactive out reach to expand your client portfolio.
- Championing the Off to Work brand at all times and communicate our ethos through working practices.
- Ensure operational practices and standards are always adhered to.
- Attend and assist with Event Quality Checks on-site, to deliver an immaculate, well-groomed team, in line with client requirements.
- Actively nurture and mentor the casual team with a warm, passionate, and caring approach, and with open channels of communication.
- Build in-depth knowledge of the casual team to match team members to our client’s requirements.
- Overall forecasting and planning for upcoming bookings and associated tasks to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, to grow your client portfolio and revenue streams and maintain a real focus on quality delivery.
- Assist with recruitment of casual team members
- Must live in Edinburgh or surrounding area, have good knowledge of the area (Good networking avenues within hospitality, advantageous but not essential)
- Minimum of 3 years in an operations management role within 4 or 5 star hotels, premium events and/or corporate hospitality.
- Experience in proactive outreach for new business and strategic planning to expand client portfolios
- Acute ability, personal discipline and drive to work within a team as well as autonomously and effectively
- A real people person with great empathy and excellent communication skills including fluency in spoken and written English. Must be comfortable working telephonically.
- Fully computer literate with strong skill in Microsoft Office programs and applications. (Experience with Hubspot or other CRM systems is advantageous but not essential)
- Flexibility with schedule, may be required to work additional hours during busy periods
- Scottish Personal licence (Advantageous but not essential)
- Drivers Licence
