Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Help manage high-volume food production with precision and efficiency, maintaining organization and cleanliness at all times.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, paying close attention to taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to strict health and safety regulations, ensuring that all food preparation and storage practices meet local health codes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, supporting training initiatives and sharing best practices to maintain a cohesive and positive work environment.
- Inventory & Waste Management: Assist with stock control, proper storage, and minimizing food waste through efficient practices.
- Food Preparation & Production: Assist the Head Chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of meals that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Menu Support: Collaborate in planning seasonal menus, ensuring variety, nutritional balance, and appeal to a young audience.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for cooking and a desire to inspire young people through food.
- You will have experience cooking for large amounts of people
- You will have a DBS or willing to get a DBS
