We are looking for a Chef Manager for a lovely site in Stafford, this is a Monday to Friday position with core hours being 6.30am to 3.00pm on a 40 Hour Contract. AS very occasional weekend shift may be required so you can identify what happens over the weekend when you are usually not working.

This Chef Manager oversee the operation of breakfast, lunch, dinner and night service. You will be very hands on in the kitchen in the mornings to ensure all food is out on time and presented to a high standard. There is in place a strong night team to oversee the late shifts so the Chef Manager runs the days service and organises the team.
This unit caters for around 300-500 on a daily basis so you will need experience in busy kitchens and have cooked for large numbers before, you will have the support of 2 Sous Chefs who are currently in place and then a team of Catering Assistants who deal with the service and clearing of the restaurant. The Chef Manager will need to have managed and developed large teams before and have strong communication skills as well to be able to liaise and work with the client on side and be able to adapt and change plans where necessary.
We are looking for a Chef who is experienced in leading small teams and confident in running the kitchen operation. A background in contract catering is preferred but not essential, however you must have strong financial skills and have good knowledge of H&S and food hygiene. You will have a good handover as the current Chef Manager has an internal promotion so will be on site to go through the role in detail and be strong support in the early stages.
This company is looking for a Chef Manager who can take this role on and develop the food offering to include Street Food style concepts and chef specials. Currently they operate a 4 weekly changing menu so good food knowledge and creative ideas will be required.
