Assistant Hospitality Manager
City of London
Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
£45,000 per annum + great benefits
My client is a global private insurance firm who has their headquarters in the heart of the City. Counting some of the world’s biggest brands amongst their portfolio of clients the service that is offered is second to none and the hospitality offered to Clients and Directors at the headquarters is no different.
This client is known for delivering exceptional service, and their Hospitality team plays a central role in creating that experience. We’re looking for an Assistant Hospitality Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of the internal and executive hospitality floors, ensuring seamless operations, outstanding service delivery, and a motivated, high‑performing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Hospitality Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. You will act as a key support to the Head of Hospitality and take full ownership of the department in their absence.

What you’ll do
- Lead and support the Hospitality team
- Take charge during Head of Hospitality absences
- Maintain top‑tier service standards and smooth daily operations
- Manage rotas, shifts, performance, and team development
- Deliver VIP‑level service for executive meetings and fine dining
- Oversee training, onboarding, and service quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hospitality regulations
- Work closely with Events, Logistics, and catering partners to deliver seamless experiences
- Support menu presentation, event staffing, and last‑minute requests
- Work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and very occasional weekends
- 3+ years’ experience in hospitality management, ideally corporate or fine dining but will consider 5* hotels
- Must have Fine Dining experience
- Strong leadership & Operational experience
- Exceptional customer service standards and attention to detail
- Confident communication and people‑management skills
- Ability to stay calm, organised, and proactive under pressure
- Solid understanding of food hygiene and hospitality compliance
