We’re looking for a hands-on and motivated Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy on-site café within a thriving conference and exhibition venue. The café serves both the daily tenants and visiting delegates, exhibitors, and guests attending events.
On event days, the atmosphere is fast-paced and dynamic, so flexibility and calm under pressure are key.
The café provides a welcoming environment with a high standard of service, offering quality hot drinks, cakes, sandwiches, a fresh salad bar, and a range of hot meals from the counter.

Key Responsibilities for Cafe Manager
- Oversee all daily café operations, ensuring excellent customer experience at all times
- Manage and motivate the café team, including scheduling, training, and performance
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
- Monitor stock levels, supplier orders, and cost control
- Support service during busy periods and ensure smooth workflow between kitchen and front-of-house
- Liaise with venue management and events team to plan for busy conference and exhibition days
- Proven experience in café or busy staff dining
- Great eye for detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking ability
- Passion for great customer service and quality food
- Able to remain composed and efficient during busy service times
