Contract Project Manager – Facilities Management

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Project Manager to take full ownership of a multi-site Facilities Management contract across several educational establishments and a public community facility.
This is a key leadership role overseeing the delivery of hard and soft FM services, ensuring service standards across maintenance, grounds and all associated support services.
You will be responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring full contractual compliance, leading a large multi-disciplinary team, and delivering high standards of customer service.
This position also plays a crucial part in guiding the contract through to PFI handback, with responsibility for lifecycle planning, asset management and strategic project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & manage all hard and soft FM services, maintaining full statutory, contractual & safety compliance.
Oversee all electrical, mechanical, fabric and building maintenance, subcontractor activities, asset surveys and helpdesk functions.
Manage the full P&L for the contract, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and lifecycle planning.
Plan and deliver variation works and lifecycle projects safely, efficiently and within budget.
Build strong, proactive relationships with clients, stakeholders and on-site teams.
Drive continuous improvement, identifying and resolving non-conformances.
Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure best value through effective commercial management.
About You
You are an experienced FM professional with a strong track record managing complex, multi-site contracts (ideally PFI contract within education environments). You communicate confidently, lead effectively, and bring a proactive, solution-focused mindset to your work.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven success managing complex service contracts and multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong technical understanding of hard and soft FM, SFG20 and statutory compliance.
Solid project management skills, including lifecycle and variation works.
Health & Safety qualification with audit & investigation experience.
Experience with AP/RP structures, knowledge of fire safety, legionella management or CDM.
Must possess NEBOSH or BIFM qualification.
