Event Sales Manager
Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
£40,000 - £45,000 DOE

My client is a vibrant Event Caterer hosting a variety of weddings, conferences, exhibitions, private parties across spaces with limitless possibilities. As a result of continued growth, we have been instructed to assist in the recruitment of an Event Sales Manager.
  
The Event Sales Manager will manage the sales process from beginning to end as the first point of contact for all enquiries and will help each client through the initial stages of their enquiry, ensure that correspondence is carefully and thoroughly managed and that the expectations of the client are met at each stage of the sales process. Will also work closely with the operations team and ensure that events are handed over smoothly, without disruption to the client. 

A key approach for the Event Sales Manager is to strive to be professional and knowledgeable about the company and the services you provide. Also to take a friendly and warm approach with clients, making them feel at home and in experienced hands from the moment they interact with the team.

In addition to excellent food and beverage knowledge, the Event Sales Manager will have real pride & passion for delivering high quality service and the desire to exceed expectations at every step.

Skills required:

  • Systematic and organised approach to all areas of work.

  • Strong written and spoken communication and an enthusiasm to demonstrate this in client facing situations.

  • Excellent time management and an ability to prioritise effectively.

  • An understanding of the sales process and how to attract new business.

  • A flair for networking and an enthusiasm to meet new people.

  • An ability to self-motivate and capable of working with and without close supervision.

  • A tendency to be inquisitive and to investigate new ideas and opportunities willingly.

  • Proficiency in word, excel, PowerPoint and a familiarity with Caterease or other event/catering CRM system.
