Job Role: Head Chef

Salary: £35,000 + 10% Bonus + Daily Tips

We are looking for a Head Chef for a lovely restaurant in Barry. This role will be a 5/7 day operation with 3 evening shifts and 2 morning shifts. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday so weekends will be required for this role as they are the busiest days. Covers range from 50-200 so experience in a busy kitchen will be required.
The Head Chef will lead a kitchen team of 4/5 and be preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Experience with Pizza preparation would be beneficial but not essential. All fresh produce is used and using seasonal ingredients to create an appealing and creative menu,
This role gives a Head Chef to really make a name for themselves as you will work closely with the owner who will give you lots of support and let you really lead the kitchen and drive this forward, you should be keen to develop your team as well and have experience in leading a kitchen team in previous roles.
This is a lovely site for a Head Chef to take over and bring fresh ideas and menu design to the role. We need a Chef that has worked with fresh food and in good level kitchens, branded retail operations would not be suitable for this position and we need a Head Chef who can produce different dishes from scratch and who has a good food knowledge.
