Our client is a specialist London contract caterer, delivering high-quality food and service within a corporate environment. The site includes a staff restaurant / café, corporate hospitality, and a busy internal and external events and conference business.
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to support the Catering General Manager in running this varied Central London contract. This role is ideal for someone from a contract catering or B&I background who enjoys variety and responsibility.
As Assistant Catering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the operation across all areas. From day-to-day staff dining / café through to hospitality and events, you will be hands-on, working closely with the team and the client, and helping to deliver internal meetings, conferences, and external events to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities
- Supporting daily operations across the café, staff restaurant, hospitality, and events.
- Assisting with the delivery of internal and external events and conferences.
- Leading and supporting the catering team on shift.
- Building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Supporting F & B innovation and service improvements.
- Assisting with budgets, costs, and financial performance.
- Ensuring Health & Safety and Food Hygiene compliance at all times.
About you
- Experience in contract catering within a B&I workplace environment, ideally in an Assistant Manager role.
- Previous involvement in delivering and running events and conferences.
- Passionate about food, service standards, and customer experience.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys working with and developing teams.
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with clients and stakeholders.
- Well organised, commercially aware, and able to manage a varied workload.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and risk assessments.
