Assistant Hospitality Manager
Contract Catering
Monday to Friday
£33,000 per annum - 40 hours per week
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Hospitality Manager to support the delivery of high-quality catering and hospitality services at a prestigious venue with 17 meeting rooms, including a main space seating up to 300 guests.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone passionate about events, food service excellence, and team leadership within a contract catering environment.
As Assistant Hospitality Manager, you will work closely with the Hospitality Manager to lead the catering operation for a wide range of events, conferences, meetings, and formal dinners. You will help ensure seamless service delivery, outstanding customer experience, and efficient team performance.

Key Responsibilities as Assistant Hospitality Manager
- Support the day-to-day management of the hospitality and events catering operation
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the hospitality team during events and service periods
- Oversee catering for conferences, meetings, corporate events, and seated dinners
- Ensure service standards are consistently delivered to a high level
- Assist with event planning, room set-ups, staffing, and logistics
- Maintain strong client and venue relationships, acting as a professional point of contact
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company standards
- Support stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Previous experience in hospitality or events management, ideally within contract catering
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience delivering conferences, large-scale events, and formal dining
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible to work evenings as required by the events calendar
