Barista & General Assistant
City of London
Monday to Friday, 35 hours week
£14.50 per hour

My Client requires an experienced Barista & General Assistant, Monday to Friday, working in an office environment in a Law firm in London. The site can be busy therefore you must be able to work effectively with high volumes in the mornings, must know how to collaborate a grinder and have worked on traditional machines previously.

Interacting with customers is a key part of the job, and to be a success you’ll need to be helpful and courteous with a ‘can-do’ approach, have an engaging personality, enjoy working as part of a fun, high-energy team and have the commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
  
Job Description:
  • Responsible for ensuring that every guest receives a warm welcome and a happy experience throughout their whole visit.
  • The role will include taking orders, making teas and coffees, keeping the Café & Staff Dining Area clean & tidy, doing a little food prep and serving food.
  • Manage stock and inventory, to ensure good food rotation.
  • Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients.
  • Assist in other areas of the business if required and to undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
The experience and knowledge we are looking for  include:
  • At least 2 year of experience in a similar environment preferably in Contract Catering
  • Excellent Barista skills and coffee retail knowledge.
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • A cool self-driven and goals orientated person, nothing phases you! You own your shift, and make sure that every guest leaves happy.
  • Confidently carry out safety checks and ensure that all hygiene standards are maintained well above standard
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills and able to Improvise
  • Be customer focused at all times, by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
