The Role
As Deputy Catering Manager, you’ll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of this busy education catering operation. You’ll help oversee multiple outlets including the main dining areas, retail cafés, hospitality, and event catering.
You’ll be a visible, hands-on leader who can motivate the team, maintain excellent food standards, and ensure a safe, efficient service that reflects the client’s values and the needs of the educational community.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily catering & hospitality operations across campus.
- Lead a team of 30+ to deliver excellent service across all catering outlets.
- Assist with financial management, including budget control, cost analysis, and stock management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school/university leadership, students, and staff.
- Support the planning and delivery of hospitality and special event catering.
- Deputise for the General Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of service and performance.
