Job Role: Group Development Chef
Location: Berkshire/Surrey + some travelling needed
Sector: Independent Catering
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000

A great opportunity to join an independent catering company as a Group Development Chef, this role will be mainly Monday to Friday with an exceptional weekend for nay new openings or product launches (Approx. 3-4 at most per year)
The Development Chef will look after around 12-14 sites mainly based between Berkshire and Surrey with some other units based elsewhere, So a Chef based locally to Surry or Berkshire would be best positioned for this role. A Car allowance and mileage is paid as travel is essential in this position.
This main roles will be designing new menu offers, coming up with New Product Launches, Pop Ups and theme days. You will have full autonomy and work closely with the operations Director. These menus will then be rolled out in the units and you will need to train and support staff so they are able to deliver the food offer on site.
The Development Chef will need full knowledge of Allergens and H&S and all food costings. Some work on the systems to upload menus and spec sheets will also be needed so a good computer literacy will essential.
This role would suit a Chef Manager looking to step up or an Exec Chef from a B&I site looking for a new challenge as a Group Development Chef. This is very much a planning and strategic role which gives a large amount of freedom on concepts and ideas.
